Pink, blue and green

So I tried the water-cornstarch-food coloring sidewalk paint today...It is turned out great & it cleaned up without difficulty, just like you said Nina. Thanks for the great fun we had outside today!

Date night @ Wally World

Thanks to our wonderful friends, the Semlow family, Michael and I were able to have a date night. We have been trying to go to one of our favorite Italian restaurants, Brio, for a belated birthday dinner for Michael...of course, the evening we choose to go there is a terrible storm which knocks out all electricity in that area! Oh well, Thai Orchid (another equally favorite place) was the chosen restaurant of the night. We had a great time, cleaned our plates and contemplated going for ice cream, but decided a quick Wally World (WalMart) run was a better choice. Ahh the romantic things you do when married with children! Meandering down the isles I stumbled upon the bread that I grew up eating (in the same packaging and all), bringing back a flood of warm and cozy childhood memories. Don't we all have those "things" that just take us back?!

Kate LOVES her new fishing game. Thanks for sharing Demick family!

Outside fun

More painting was in order...however, my daughter must not have heard the word "paint BRUSH" before as she promptly started brushing her hair as soon as she heard it. Lovely shades of green and purple graced her head until we washed it out later that afternoon. Chalk was another new discovery...she even did all the clean up by herself!

Just a few moments of our night in the nursery last night. Lots of sharing and caring among these adorable little ones.

Happy Daddy's Day

Kate and I went shopping yesterday and she picked out a great pair of shorts for Michael...We also began a Father's Day Card Book that we can add to every year.
We love you super fun, silly, loving Daddy (Kate) and marvelous, handsome and huggable Michael (Kristen)!

We went to Sonic for lunch (honestly, that was Michael's wish). The man of the house caught a few fish while we waited for lunch to arrive (thanks to the Demick's for Michael, I mean Kate's, new toy).

Michelangel-a's Masterpiece

So it isn't quite the Sistine Chapel, but for a first timer I thought she did pretty good! Who knew finger painting could be so fun?! Kate implemented a new way of finger painting...using the bottles instead of her fingers. We had a marvelous afternoon being messy and laughing...A quick dip in the pool cleaned things up quite nicely too.

Coloring, Flips and More

First Coloring Experience...oh what talent!

We realized that our little miss matched Michael's car, so we decided to make it a camera moment

Kate has a new favorite hobby! It brings back fond memories of doing the same thing with my dad long ago...

Ice cream on a summer night...with a tired baby...

Fri Night Prayer Play Time

Just a few pics from our playground time during last Friday night prayer...

Teamwork!

Rocks in shoes-aarrggghhh!

Busy at work!

Teething in bulk

So poor lil Kate has had three days of cutting 8, yes, 8 teeth at once...I think 4 have broken through...Monday was rough. Thanks to Grandma Beth who had her all day long! We had a "sick day" on Tuesday. Kate took it easy in her chair, but quickly became bored of just lounging. We went birthday shopping for cousin Andrew and Kate had her very first pedicure...pretty pink was the color of choice for her little tootsies! As you can see below, she fully enjoyed her afternoon dip! Thanks again to Papa T and Mama Lynn who took Kate bathing suit shopping during our recent visit to Cali! Hopefully this not-so-fun process of teething will quickly pass...for all of our sakes!

Park slides & reading books

Hmmm. Should I touch my Dora Car?

Yep! I think I will!

Playing is so much fun!

Our little family of three traveled the two short miles to our playground...as you can see, Kate once again had a smashing park experience. She even went down the tube slide all by herself!

Later on, while I was making dinner, I noticed my usually loud 13 month old became suspiciously quiet...this usually means she is somewhere she shouldn't be...however, to my delight, she was sitting quietly in the living room reading all of her books to herself. What a smart girl we have in our home!
