ChOcOLaTe GirLS NiGhT OuT

Karlyn & I have been trying to get together for some girl time since last August...pretty sad, I know. Well, miracle of miracles, it finally happened!
Karlyn, Shelly, Aimee & I were able to sneak away for a few hours while the gentlemen had pizza night with the kids...they did an awesome job, by the way. No injuries, everyone was well fed & happy upon our return. So, back to the girls...we first stopped at the cozy world of Panera for a "healthy" din-din before heading to the Melting Pot for some delectable dessert. Yes, chocolate fondue was served with everything from strawberries & bananas to Oreo-covered marshmallows & cheesecake! Need I say more?! Not only did we enjoy our chocolate, but it was a refreshing time to be with "just the girls" & have girly conversations! Hooray for fondue & friends!

Just FYI...this is what we came back to find at the Semlow household... :o)
In case you cannot tell, that is Michael that all the kiddos are tackling!

Night at the Threet's

Ok, so it has been a busy week...but here is an update on how last Saturday with our good friends, Shannon & Pat, went. First off, Kate was wondering if she could keep her "mustache"...To which my answer was, uh you look great, but not now...

But Mommy, I really like my mustache...

Once we got there, the stories, laughter, playtime for the kids all began. Oh, by the way, the cupcake icecream cones were a great success with the kids! Cute cousins!

Cupcakes and pigtails

so i discovered that kate's hair is long enough for pigtails...she is such a little doll!

by the way, can anyone tell me how to get to sesame street? oh, thank you, kate!

later today we are going to the threet's to have dinner and lots of laughs. i experimented with cupcake cones...they turned out ok, so hopefully the kiddos like them tonight!

Counting, Dancing, Shopping

After Kate counted her pennies (& then put them back), she performed a little morning exercise dance to Old MacDonald. No her zipper is NOT down, it is just the pants. The two of us then headed for Target where Kate made fast friends with a singing doggie and was fascinated with the bouncy balls...I know what her favorite birthday present will be!

Maximizing time

After church tonight, Michael & I wanted to squeeze in a workout, but we also wanted to watch lifechurch.tv...so what did we do, you might ask? We put on our P90X workout dvd, turned the volume down and in a different window, watched an awesome teaching by Craig Groeschel. Major calories burned plus a spiritually thought provoking message. Now that is what I call maximizing my time! :o)

11 months already!

Eleven months ago this little person was not yet known to Michael and I...and now it is hard to remember what life was like without her! Children truly are a blessing from Above!

Good ol' Mickey D's

So, we did it. Yes, my daughter of nearly 11 months made her first trip to Mac Donald's today. We went for an annual shamrock shake (yummy and minty) & had some french fries too. Though she was somewhat wary at first, she warmed up nicely to the salty potatoes we know as fries, don't ya think?!

Our Saturday...

Our Saturday began with an early start. Kate helped me organize the fridge, kept practicing her walking skills and we even met Kate's new best friend, Corinne, for lunch at Salsarita's...yummy and fun-filled day!
