Cali Visit in a nutshell
We just returned from a fantastic trip to visit the fam in California! It was packed full of fun and unforgettable memories...as you can see, Kate jumped right in (literally)!
We re-celebrated Kate's 1st birthday, complete with balloons, cupcakes, presents and lots of delighted squeals!
Michael spent his 29th birthday there...I took him shopping. I know, I know. That sounds very selfish, but we found some great deals and he added quite a collection to his wardrobe (most of it can be used for golfing as well, so he was thrilled! We had a marvelous time together, just the two of us! FYI: those bags are filled with his clothes, he didn't want to pose for the pic.
Michael sharing some quality daddy-daughter-bonding time in the golf cart
Mini photo shoot in the gardens...what a darlin'!
Lunch with Mom and Lauren at Pampelmouse Grille, a country French restaurant. Part of my meal was a trio of soup served in perfect portion sized espresso cups
Park playtime in Del Mar with Papa T and Mama Lynn
Picking fresh blueberries and grapefruit with Papa in the "Garden of Gethsemane" after donning an adorable hat provided by Mama Lynn
And oh, we mustn't forget Kate's first ride in the Lambo

Happy Monday
Golf, golf, golf
Michael has returned! He and five fellows went on a golf trip to Shanty Creek this weekend...in both rain and shine they reportedly had a great time and played over 100 holes! Four of the six guys actually crammed into the yellow Focus for the long journey! From right to left...Matt, Brent, Michael, Andy, James...
Kate is glad to have Dada back home again (and so am I)!

Buckle up for safety.
This morning Kate saw her car seat in a brand new light...when it is sitting on the floor she can get in and out all by herself. She had a marvelous time trying to buckle up for safety. She then proceeded to sit in the car seat (for quite some time)requesting that I bring her smoothie to her so she would not have to leave her comfortable spot. What a sweet and goofy little girl! I love her so much!
